Learning English with ACCESS English Micro-scholarship Program
Since September 2011, ACCESS launched English classes in six Armavir villages, Miasnikyan being one of them. The essential objective of the program is providing the learners with basic language skills beginning from the elementary level and bringing them to the advanced level.
In addition to the concentration on basic language skills, introducing American culture to the students holds another important part in this pace. Once or twice a month, the group is introduced to American national holidays, and different projects and activities are organized in this respect. During these celebrations, the learners find themselves in real-life situations and experience the entire joy and fun of the event.
The classes are designed and conducted with the assistance of a set of technological tools, such as Internet, computers, a projector, etc. In addition to the daily schedule following the curriculum, supplementary materials are frequently used in the classroom, providing the learners with different learning environment.
Moreover, in the frames of this classes, learners are introduced to various educational tools and environments like blogging, essay writing, presentation making, and using the web-page particularly designed for the current course. This reinforces their ongoing learning process and hinders their active communication in English.
